Lights Up Company

The Lights Up Company of Ann Arbor Young Actors Guild is an association of high school and college students who are dedicated to and passionate about the theatre arts. Consisting of a range of beginning to experienced young actors, we are focused on the improvement of our theatre arts abilities through the study of new performance techniques and the fine-tuning if existing skills. We connect with each other and our audience in unique ways by:

• Including students from a variety of backgrounds
• Encouraging strong friendship bonds between group members
• Acknowledging and building upon a variety of interests, including acting, directing, designing, writing, and other theatre related skills
• Supporting one another through teamwork and accountability
• Providing a safe environment for all group members
• Empowering each other to take leadership roles within the group

We explore and confirm these values through dialogue in meetings, workshops, rehearsals and performance.
